“These have been unprecedented times of change for Covenant and our world. In a few short weeks so many things about health care and life itself have been turned upside down. At Covenant as the COVID-19 pandemic has progressed we have moved from 100% in person care at all our 6 sites to a predominantly Telehealth care model at all but one site. Our Pregnancy Center, Recovery Center, Dental Team, Behavioral Health, Homeless Outreach Program, and Medical Teams continue to provide the chronic and acute care our patients need but have also helped to triage, test, and treat our own patients for COVID-19 as well as others in the community without a provider. We have also still been able to be open to take new patients in each of our programs “for those who need it most”.
While definitely challenging it is has been sweet to see God’s perfect crafting of a team to do this work. What a privilege to work alongside incredible teammates who serve selflessly, competently, and compassionately in this ever changing workplace environment. The pandemic has brought about fear, anxiety, and great isolation for those who fight this battle (many times alone) in their homes and hospitals. What a precious medicine is the hope and peace Jesus Christ gives in this time and how fortunate that we as an employees can incorporate this hopeful message by word and deed in the care we provide to our patients!”
