Mobile Dental Team COVID-19 Protocol

Covenant Community Care Mobile Dental is committed to your safety.

We have implemented the following CDC and ADA recommended protocols to help protect our staff, patients and our community.

  • We are transitioning to contactless registration. All required forms will be available online. Alternative care such as tele-dentistry visits and in-office appointments will be offered.
  • Employees will complete a Covid-19 screening and temperature check before shifts. Patients will complete a Covid-19 screening and temperature check before dental treatment is permitted.
  • Masks must be worn by all employees and patients. A mask may only be removed by the patient during dental treatment and then replaced immediately after. Proper PPE will be worn by staff.
  • Hand-sanitizer will be readily available for patients and staff. Hand-sanitation will be required upon entering the treatment area.
  • Exam areas will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after each patient visit. Single-use items will be used when possible; reusable patient items are cleaned and sterilized after each use. High-touch areas will be routinely cleaned and disinfected throughout the day. All reading material and non-essential items will be removed from the waiting room and treatment area.
  • Workspace layouts and seating arrangements are revised to allow for social distancing of 6 feet or more. Appointment times will be spaced to reduce the number of people on site and to allow time for cleaning and disinfecting between patients. Partitions will divide patient treatment areas and be placed at check-in stations when applicable.
  • Patients over the age of 6 will rinse with a 1.5% hydrogen peroxide rinse prior to treatment to reduce viral count. A portable air-purification unit with HEPA filtration and UV light will be utilized in the treatment area to remove harmful particles from the air. High evacuation suction units will be employed to reduce dental aerosols. Aerosol generating procedures will be limited.
  • Each site is unique; we will work with site leaders to create a plan that works best for all. Duration of treatment times may be extended due to increased safety measures.
