Nurse Clinic Manager at Moross Clinic
1. Tell us about yourself.
I’ve been married for 12 years. I am a mom to two girls, which keeps me pretty busy. Besides nursing I have a Master’s in Public Health from MSU. In my free time I love to read and bake and hang out with my family.
2. Fun fact about you!
I am a die-hard Spartans fan! Go Green!
3. What were you doing before working at Covenant Community Care?
I’ve been a nurse for about 13 years, mostly in public health nursing. Before Covenant, I worked at MDHHS on a newborn screening new program initiative and was also a clinical instructor and adjunct faculty at U of D where I helped develop a public health course for their nursing program. Prior to that I worked as a nurse at a local health department.
4. How did you get connected with Covenant Community Care and/or find out about it?
The MDHHS position was grant-funded and when that ended, I started looking for a nursing opportunity that was community-based. When I saw the posting for a nurse at Covenant, I thought it was a great opportunity.
5. How long have you been working at Covenant Community Care?
I’ve been working at Covenant since June 2016.
6. What is it about Covenant Community Care that keeps you here?
Covenant’s mission keeps me here. I love working somewhere that allows me to serve the community, doing something that I’m passionate about; nursing and public health. The people, the patients, and the staff are great as well. It’s been a great experience working with and learning from everyone that is a part of this organization.
