COVID-19 Vaccine Update (10.29.21)

Covenant Community Care has limited Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines for patients (as of Monday, June 14th). Please call your specific clinic for information on availability. The CDC, as of May 12, now recommends Pfizer for everyone ages 12 and up. Covenant Community Care does not currently have Moderna or Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 Vaccine.

COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Recommendations

Any of the COVID-19 vaccines can be used for booster vaccination, regardless of the vaccine product used for primary vaccination.

Individuals who have received an mRNA primary vaccine series should receive a single COVID-19 booster dose (Pfizer, Moderna or J&J) at least 6 months after completion of the primary series:

mRNA (Pfizer or Moderna) COVID-19 vaccines

Individuals who received an mRNA primary vaccine series may receive a single COVID-19 booster dose (Pfizer, Moderna or J&J) at least 6 months after completing their primary series based on their individual benefits and risks:

Janssen/Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine

Individuals 18 years and older who received a single dose Janssen primary COVID-19 vaccine should receive a single COVID-19 booster dose (Pfizer, Moderna or J&J) at least 2 months (8 weeks) after completing their Janssen primary series.

Moderately to severely immunocompromised individuals and COVID-19 vaccine booster dose

Immunocompromised persons who received their 2-dose mRNA primary series and the additional (3rd) mRNA vaccine are recommended to receive ANY COVID-19 vaccine booster (Pfizer, Moderna, J&J) dose 6 months or more after the additional (3rd) mRNA vaccine dose.
